Johanna and Maximilian

In 2018, Maximilian, aged just 23, took over the business from his parents. Johanna joined the business in 2022. With a lot of passion and a big heart for living tradition, they run the cozy Dörflwirt in Hainzenberg together.

Little Mathilda has enriched the family since 2023. We are deeply rooted in our home, the Zillertal, and are grateful to be able to live here and show our guests as much of this beautiful part of the world as possible. Whether in the kitchen or enjoying a “Huågacht” together, you can feel that we love our home.

Tradition & passion

Now in its 3rd generation, the family-run Dörflwirt is a place for gourmets and nature lovers. Maximilian can usually be found in the kitchen, where he pursues his passion: cooking! Local dishes, newly interpreted, are his specialty.

The best game from the local hunt, creatively prepared, fresh from the forest and regional - that is important to him. We work closely with local farmers and producers to ensure that you always find the best ingredients on your plate.
