The Alpenwohlfühlhotel Dörfelwirtl is situated directly across of the street the bottom station of the Gerlosstein cable car. Here you will find a family friendly ski area without any waiting times and slopes that are never crowded - a true insider's tip for enthusiastic skiers and families.
Directly in front of our hotel you will find the longest toboggan run in the Zillertal (7km, illuminated). You can comfortably take the Gerlosstein cable car to the start of the toboggan run - let the fun begin! Whether alone, in pairs or in a group, this tobogganing trip is sure to be an experience.
A unique new way to enjoy the snow at the ski area Gerlosstein is called "snowtubing". Two runs of 200 m each, are specially groomed for you to race down on massive tubes. Even more fun is, that it is for free and you can use the runs and tubes as often as you like.
There is a ski bus stop next to the hotel where you can take the ski bus free of charge to any other ski area in the Zillertal Arena. Experience 139 kilometres of slopes and 55 modern ski lifts, and turn your day on skis into something special.
The skiing area of the Zillertal Arean - Zell am Ziller ist opproximately at a distance of 5km. The skiing area of the Zillertal Arena - Gerlos ist opporoximately of 15km. By the way: The skiing area Zell am Ziller and the skiing area Gerlos are connected by ski-lifts (for skiers only).

The team of the Lechner ski school - certified ski and snowboard instructors - have been teaching beginners and intermediates in the Zillertal Arena since 1989. They want to help you expand your limits, improve your style, or simply show you new ways to enjoy winter sports.
